0

The International Human Rights day is celebrated on this day across the World.

In the year 1948, the day was adopted and proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to uphold the Universal declaration of Human Rights.

The Universal declaration includes (a) We are all born free and equal ; (b) Do not discriminate – rights belong to everybody ; (c) We all have the right to live in freedom ; (d) We cannot make anyone our slave ; (e) Nobody has any right to hurt any person.

United Nations New York Postal Administration commemorated the International Human Rights Day with the release of two postage stamps in the year 1953.
